Alzheimer’s conference set at Woolsey

A conference entitled, “Caring For Your Loved One With Alzheimer’s Disease” will be held Sunday, July 24, from 2:30 -5:00 p.m. at Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Road in Fayetteville.

Hosts for the conference are Saints Alive and Elder Law Office of Robert M. Goldberg.

Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, the conference will include such topics as:

• Overview of Alzheimer’s disease

• Effective communication strategies

• Preventing and responding to behaviors

• Techniques for helping individuals with activities of daily living

• Enhancing safety

• Impact of Alzheimer’s disease on the family

• Caregiver wellness

• Alzheimer’s Association resources.

A question and answer session also is planned.
