Bad Links? | Pioneers shoot for region titlesThe SouthSide Pioneers Track & Field Club competed last weekend at the 2005 AAU District Championship at Collins HS (Lawrenceville, GA). Here are the results of the athletes who finished 1st-6th in their events: Joshua Ferrell (Midget Boys), second place, Pentathlon (1265 pts.), third place, High Jump, 4. Joy Ferrell (Intermediate Girls): first place, Javelin Throw 7905, second place, Heptathlon (2643 pts., third place, 400 meter hurdles, 1:11.29, fifth place, 100 meter hurdles, 17.54, fifth place, long jump, 156 Zachary Lovett, (Youth Boys), third place, 800 meter run, 2:26.47 David Mathis, (Youth Boys), fifth place, 400 meter run, 56:61 These athletes have advanced to the 2005 AAU Track and Field Region Championship to be held next weekend (June 23-26 in Charleston, SC.) The SouthSide Pioneers will compete at the 2005 USATF Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships June 28 - July 3, 2005, at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn. This meet will feature Pioneers Khaneisha Pagan, a 2005 Fayette County High School graduate in the 100 meter hurdles and Lee Hardnett, rising junior from Whitewater High School in the 100 meter dash. |
