Bad Links? | Lightning lose last home game, wrap up season on the roadBy MICHAEL BOYLAN The Southern Crescent Lightning played their final home game of the season on Saturday. It wasnt their best game of the season as the Lightning (16-6) fell to the Macon Blaze 125-119. The two teams played a tight first quarter, heading into the second quarter tied at 34 points a piece. Macon edged out the Lightning in the second quarter 29-27 and stayed ahead heading into the final quarter although the Lightning won the third quarter 27-26. The two teams played a very even game with both teams pulling in 57 rebounds, blocking four shots and forcing 14 steals. The difference may have come down to no Lightning player scoring over 20 points, while the Blaze had one player with 32 points and two players with 21 or more. Among the seven players the Lightning had in double digits were Tyrone Levitt and Dajan Smith with 16 points and Jonathan Hargett and Jimmy Baxter with 14 each. They will wrap up the season on the road with games at conference leaders Mississippi (16-5) tonight and at Rome (18-2) on Saturday.
