Bad Links? | Fayette team number one with the bulletsMembers of the Fayette County 4-H Shotgun Club won their first ever state championship at the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) in skeet shooting in the senior division. The 200 target, two day event took place at the Lake Oconee Gun Club near Eatonton, Ga. These shooters, all from Fayette County, are now qualified to represent Georgia in the National SCTP Skeet competition July 22-24 at the Detroit Gun Club in Detroit, Mich. The team has practiced every day at the 4-H Shotgun range located at 2271 Georgia Highway 85 in Fayettevile. The Georgia State 4-H Shooting Awareness, Fundamentals and Education (S.A.F.E.) has one of the largest youth shotgun programs in the country with more than 1,200 youth more than 50 counties.
