Ronald and Dianne Brown of McDonough announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Dianne Brown, to Nicholas Brett Windisch, son of H.G. (Buddy) and Angela Windisch of Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Katie Lou Gilbert and the late Marcus Star Gilbert of McDonough, and Mrs. Randolf Brown and the late C.W. Brown of Athens. She is a 1997 graduate of Bible Baptist Christian School and a 2001 graduate of Toccoa Falls College where she received her bachelor’s degree in music education. She presently is employed as the general music teacher at Elm Street Elementary School in Coweta County.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Ruby Hall and the late Wheeler Hall of Hinesville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Windisch Sr. of Columbus. He is a 1996 graduate of Lovejoy High School. He currently is employed as a manager of Truett’s Grill in Jonesboro.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Henry Baptist Church in McDonough.
Belcher-Shelton
Bruce and Linda Belcher of Abbeville, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Leigh, of Gainesville, to Scott Charles Shelton, also of Gainesville, son of James C. (Bud) Shelton of Tyrone and Penny W. Moore of Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Glen Belcher and Florine Belcher of Abbeville, Ala., and the late David Gamble and Cassie Gamble of Headland, Ala. She is a graduate of Auburn University where she received her B.S. and M. Ed. in elementary education. She is employed with the Forsyth County Board of Education.
The future groom is the grandson of James W. and Winifred Shelton of Duluth and the late C.W. and Doris Walker of College Park. He is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University where he received a B.S. in architectural engineering. He is employed with Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects.
The wedding will be July 9, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, Abbeville, Ala.
Snyder-Elgin
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Snyder of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Blair Snyder, to David Douglas Elgin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Elgin of Huntsville, Ala.
The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2004 graduate of Berry College where she earned a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She teaches first grade for Atlanta Public Schools at Centennial Place Elementary School.
The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Grissom High School in Huntsville, Ala. and a 2001 graduate of Berry College. He is currently employed by the Atlanta Spirit (Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Thrashers, and Philips Arena) as a marketing manager.
The wedding will be July 16, 2005, at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta.
Muetzel-Harper

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of McIntosh High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Georgia Southern University in 2004. She currently teaches kindergarten in Lawrenceville.
The groom-elect is a 2003 honors graduate of Ogechee Technical College with a degree in computer information systems. He currently is employed as the system administrator at Harbor Payments in Buckhead.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, followed by a reception at Poplar Grove in Sharpsburg.
