Stolen pickup: Marcus Davis, 28, a security employee for Setco Grading, 50 Ansley Drive, Newnan, reported someone stole a white 2004 Ford super duty pickup truck and a 25-foot gooseneck trailer carrying various landscaping equipment while in the parking lot of Goody's, 375 Pavilion Parkway. The truck and other items stolen had an estimated value of $77,700. Peachtree City Police Dept. Animal case: John Bornman of Baltimore, Md., a private fugitive recovery agent, alleged he was bitten by the dog at 106 Kings Ridge Drive while serving a warrant at 5:36 p.m. May 9. The man was not seriously injured. Bornman declined to have the dog picked up. Criminal damage: Daima Rasheed-Abdor, of Harmony Village, 425 S. Peachtree Parkway, reported someone threw a rock at the back door, breaking the glass. Total estimated damage reported is $300. Criminal damage: Don Cobb, 56, of Cobb & Associates Architects, 1235 Robinson Road, Suite G, reported someone carved "Sauce it up" on the driver side door and driver side quarter panel of his 2004 black BMW 325 CI convertible, causing $500 in damage. Theft: Kimberly D. Gunter, 45, of Flat Creek Golf Club, 100 Flat Creek Road, reported someone stole a tan cashbox with $700 in cash. The box was valued at $100. Theft: Jose Jargas Castro, 47, an employee of Paschal's Bistro, 217 Commerce Drive, Peachtree City, reported someone stole his golf cart, valued at $1,800, that was parked at the business. Fayette Co. Fire and Emergency Services Oil spill: At 7:37 p.m. May 17, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an oil spill at Dogwood and Highway 74. Gas leak: At 3:13 p.m. May 18, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a gas leak at 936 Buffalo road. Vehicle fire: At 10:12 a.m. May 19, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a vehicle fire at 150 Tarragon Drive. Smoke scare: At 5:06 p.m. May 19, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a smoke scare at 2970 Highway 138. Gas leak: At 7:37 a.m. May 20, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a gas leak at Highway 85 and Massengale Road. Fire Safety Education: At 11:54 a.m. May 21, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel conducted a fire safety education class at 202 McDonough Road. Controlled burn: At 9:23 p.m. May 21, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an unauthorized controlled burn call at 496 Kenwood Road. Outdoor burning is prohibited from May 1 to Sept. 30. A $500 fine could be imposed on violators. Gas leak: At 7:43 p.m. May 23, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a gas leak at Dogwood and Farr Road. Woods fire: At 8:24 p.m. May 23, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a woods fire at 380 Grady Ave. From May 17-24: Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services received 104 calls for help. Fayetteville Fire Dept. House fire: At 3:11 p.m. May 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a building fire at 135 Wilbanks Drive. Firefighters arrived at 3:14 p.m. to find flames pouring from the garage. A resident escaped unharmed from the blaze. Firefighters entered the structure and began search and suppression efforts. Firefighters from Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services also assisted. Firefighters contained the fire to the single-car garage of the four-unit garden home. The fire caused extensive interior damage to the garage and the homeowners automobile which was parked inside. The fire is still under investigation, however it is believed to have originated in the engine compartment of the vehicle due to an electrical failure, Fayetteville Fire Inspector Lt. Bill Rieck said. The fire caused about $27,000 in damage to the property and its contents, Rieck added. False alarm: At 12:59 p.m. May 18, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a false fire alarm at 300 Pavilion Parkway. Gas leak: At 3:13 p.m. May 18, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas leak 936 Buffalo Road. The fire department assisted the county fire department under joint automatic and mutual aid pacts. Building fire: At 4:16 a.m. May 19, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a building fire at 185 Brookclear Lane. Electrical wiring problem: At 11:55 a.m. May 20, Fayetteville firefighters responded to an electrical wiring problem at 490 Hood Ave. From May 16-22: the Fayetteville received 38 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Accident: At 2:43 p.m. May 17, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at Huddleston Road and D-B Industrial. On arrival, the firefighters found that a car had collided with a tractor-trailer. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries and and treated one patient and called Rescue Air One to transport the victim to an Atlanta trauma center for treatment. Accident: At 2:44 a.m. May 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to vehicle accident at Highway 54 and Commerce Drive. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries and one victim was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital. Structure fire: At 12:39 p.m. May 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 140 Terrane Ridge. The firefighters were responding to a 911 call that stated there was smoke coming from the garage at the residence. While en route, the units were cancelled by the 911 Center because a caller had called back and stated the smoke was possibly being caused by fireworks. One fire unit continued on to the address with the Peachtree City Fire Marshal conducting an investigation. False alarm: At 12:47 p.m May 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at Home Depot, 2715 Highway 54. The alarm was false and was unintentional. Structure fire: At 12:59 p.m. May 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 360 Aster Ridge. Residence reported a lightening strike and saw fire coming from electrical outlets. Firefighters checked house for fire and found nothing. Residences advised to contact electrician and conduct full examination of the electrical system within the house. Structure fire: At 1:00 p.m. May 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 122 Interlocken. An occupant reported a lightening strike. Firefighters checked house for fire and found nothing. Structure Fire: At 1:04 p.m. May 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 219 Chardonnay Way. Residence reported a lightening strike and losing power to her stereo system. Firefighters checked house for fire and found nothing. Accident: At 4:50 p.m. May 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at the Wal-Mart entrance on Highway 54. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries and one victim was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital. Accident: At 3:06 p.m. May 22, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 74 and Senoia Road. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. One patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance. Gas leak: At 4:10 p.m. May 22, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported gas leak at a store on City Circle. Nothing was found at the location and it was decided that the smell could have been coming from the parking lot resealing being done.
