Survivors include a son, Mickey and Rachel Carroll, Macon; a daughter, Betty and Gene Byce, Peachtree City; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Carl J. She was born July 31, 1934 in Fayette County, daughter of Lawrence and Nellie Geneva White Bray. She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Wingo. She was a lifelong member of New Hope Baptist Church. Services were at New Hope Baptist Church, North Campus, with the Rev. Barry Thompson, the Rev. Lee Ross, and the Rev. Terry Nelson officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include her husband, Joe Wingo, Fayetteville; and brothers, Huie and Bea Bray, Brooks, and Lester and Charlotte Bray, Fayetteville. Arhtur Stewart JohnsonArthur Stewart Johnson, 41, Carleton, Mich., formerly of Fayetteville, died May 11, 2005. He was born in Big Rapids, Mich. on June 18, 1963. He attended public schools in Fayette County and was graduated from Big Rapids High School, Mich. in 1981. He began work as a machinist for Northwest Airlines, then worked as a certified A&P mechanic, and worked his way up as an inspector. He was a member of the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association. He received his pilots license in 1982 and was certified to start and taxi 747s. His hobbies were old cars, hunting, fishing and camping. Services were at the Corey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Steve Scott and the Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Survivors include his daughter, Jenna Kate Johnson, Carleton, Mich.; parents, Herbert Andrew and Edna Ann Carmichael Johnson, Evart, Mich.; brothers, Doug and Becky Johnson, Salem, Ala., and Rick and Mary Johnson, Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Dawn and Joe Keep, Augusta; a nephew, Josh; and nieces, Stephanie and Robin. She was a graduate of The Malden Hospital School of Nursing in Massachusetts, and had a 33-year nursing career at South Fulton Medical Center. Services were at St. Gabriels Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Jimmy Adams officiating. Jones, 85, Fayetteville, died May 13, 2005. He was born March 1, 1920 in Fayette County, son of John Wiley and Vida Brooks Jones. He had served in the United States Army Air Corps and was retired with 34 years service from General Motors Parts Division. He was a member of McDonough Road Baptist Church. Services were at the McDonough Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Chancey officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mildred Massengale Jones, Fayetteville; daughters, Pamela and Richard Pace, Covington, and Angela and Larry Briscoe, Acworth; a sister, Elizabeth and Luke Carter, North Augusta, S. Interment was at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta.
