What do you think of this story? | Walk is rescheduledOn April 30, six Metro Atlanta WalkAmerica events were canceled due to severe thunderstorms and heavy winds. The walks have been rescheduled for May 12. Despite the unfortunate weather, the March of Dimes is currently hard at work making sure funds are available for the fight against prematurity and birth defects. Dont let a little rain cloud your desire to save babies. Nearly $2.5 million is at risk! Even if you are unavailable for the scheduled parties, donations are accepted over the phone at 404-350-9800. The March of Dimes still needs your support to fund research to find the causes of premature birth, educate families about the warning signs of premature labor, provide support to families of babies in the NICU, expand access to health care coverage, help health care providers learn ways to reduce the risk of early delivery, and advocate for access to insurance to improve maternity care and infant health outcomes.
