Villages set for active MayThe Villages of LaFayette Park, the award-winning multi-use community located in downtown Fayetteville, is a busy place during the month of May with several special events taking place there. The communitys swimming pool, clubhouse and playground are complete, and a Grand Opening for this amenities area was May 1. The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce held a Business After Hours event at The Villages May 3. The Villages second annual Tour of Homes will take place May 14-15 from 1-6 p.m. A number of the communitys business partners are participating in the Tour of Homes event with cars from Allen Vigil Ford available to test drive; Brusters Ice Cream, and participation from Mike And Cs. There will be a live remote broadcast by Radio Station J93.3, special activities for the kids, a hot air balloon from 84 Lumber, and the communitys builders will be cooking food. Gift certificates are being provided by Johnnys Pizza, Right on Thyme, Cookies to You, Salon Bryant, Hotlanta Wings, The Village Cafe, Merlin Muffler & Brake, Uptown Girl, Dunkin Donuts, Sunkiss Studios, Becky Sues Home Cooking, Quiznos Subs, The Malt Shoppe, Rain Forest Car Wash, Wear Me - Printing & Embroidery, Images by Rainy Photography, SGO-Designer Glass, By Invitation Only, Turnipseed Nursery Farms, Speedi Pig Barbecue, Melears Barbecue, The City Cafe, Town Square Jewelers, International House of Pancakes, Mercer Jewelers, and Fayette Collectibles. The Villages of LaFayette Park community is an approximately 110-acre development three blocks west of the Old Courthouse Square in Fayetteville and bordered by State Hwy. 54 on the south and the Fayette County High School complex on the north. The picturesque development, which has sidewalks and streetlights, is offering single family detached homes featuring Turn of the Century styles with porches and having prices starting in the mid $200,000s.
