Ernie P. Jackson Jr.

Ernie P. Jackson Sr., 61, Peachtree City, died April 18, 2005. He was born June 26, 1943 in Parkston, N. C. Services were at the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sandra Wilmesherr officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jackson, Peachtree City; children, Tina and Mitch Loyd, Griffin, and Ernie P. and JoAnne Jackson Jr., Peachtree City; grandchildren, Darrell Loyd, Griffin, and Danielle Jackson, and Nicole Jackson, both of Peachtree City; father, C. E. Jackson, Raeford, N. C.; and siblings, Mary Ellen Smith, Pinehurst, N. C., Louise Humphrey, Red Spring, N. C., Jerry Jackson, Fayetteville, N. C., Shirley Williamson, Florence, S. C., Sarah Blake, Indiantown, Fla., and Eva Hrapchak, Stuart, Fla. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Beatrice Cecelia Atzrott McGuire

Beatrice Cecelia Atzrott McGuire, 88, Fayetteville, died April 20, 2005. She was born Nov. 22, 1916 in Buffalo, N. Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James McGuire Sr., and Kenneth F. McGuire, in 1999. Graveside services were at Haisten-Eastlawn Memorial Park, McDonough, with the Rev. Charles Gardner officiating. Survivors include a son, William James and Jan McGuire Jr., Fayetteville; granddaughters Kelly McGuire, Vinings, and Dawn Walter, Florida; and a sister, Dorothy Burke, Buffalo, N. Y. Haisten Funeral Home, McDonough, was in charge.

William Houston

William “Billy” Houston, 68,Tyrone, died April 21, 2005. He was born April 12, 1937 in Fayette County, son of Richard Loy and Ida Mae McElwaney Houston. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Phillip McElwaney officiating. Interment was at Hopewell Cemetery, Tyrone.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Houston, Tyrone; daughters, Debbie and Toney Peek, Carrollton, Diane Knuth, Douglasville, Amanda Fegenbush, Tyrone, and Brenda Houston, Griffin; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

William Morgan Maddox

William Morgan Maddox, 88, Fayetteville, died April 23, 2005. He was born Jan. 13, 1917 in Butts County. Services were at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro. Survivors include his wife, Grace Maddox, Christian City; a son, Robert Maddox, Jonesboro; daughters, Allene Jones, and Glenda Knowles, both of Fayetteville; a sister, Frances Nasse, Maine; and seven grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
