Bad Links? | Rising Starr to Present at National Forum ConferenceRising Starr Middle School, as a Georgia Lighthouse School to Watch, is one of only four middle schools in Georgia selected to present at the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform conference in Washington, DC in June 2005. The National Forum is an alliance of educators, researchers, national associations and foundations committed to promoting the academic performance and healthy development of young adolescents. The forums Schools to Watch program is jointly promoted through the cooperation of the National Middle School Association and the National Association of Secondary School Principals, among others. There are currently 46 Lighthouse Schools nationally and each will be recognized at the conference. Rising Starrs session is entitled Shooting for the Starrs: How We Help All Students Aim High! Each Lighthouse School will prepare a CD of information about the school to be shared with other schools at the conference. |
