Eddie Gotell Jr., 20, of Walnut Creek Lane, Jonesboro, was charged with theft by taking following an incident at Target, 107 Pavilion Parkway. Officials alleged Gotell stole a digital camera, valued at $250, from the store. Peachtree City Police Dept. Meredith Leigh Sickel, 18, of Las Brasis Court, Peachtree City, theft by shoplifting and minor in possession of alcohol. Timothy S. Loner, 30, of West Lane, Fairburn, probation violation. Justin M. Whitehead, 17, of Beaver Dam Road, Peachtree City, aggravated assault (under the Family Violence Act). Randall Jesse Gentry Jr., 29, of Senoia, Tyrone, larceny (out of Clayton County). John Nellermore, 35, of Raymond Hill Road, Newnan, driving on a suspended license. James Keith Henry, 30, of Lavista Drive, Hapeville, possession of marijuana, resisting an officer and driving without a tag. Michael Howard, 22, of Mayfern Drive, Fairburn, seat belt violation, failure to register vehicle within 30 days and giving false identification information to police. Yvette L. Stolen car: Virgil Brannon, 35, of Pintail Trail, Jonesboro, reported April 10 stole his 2002 Jeep Cherokee, valued at $20,000, from the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 125 Pavilion Parkway, Fayetteville. Threats: Opal McCraney, a juvenile probation officer, alleged April 13 that a parent called her a name and threatened to come after her. The caller is the father of one of the juvenile probationers. McCraney told police the father does not agree his son should be on probation and he threatened her due to the outcome of his sons court case. Stolen van: Connie Giddens, 47, of Cornwallis Way, Fayetteville, reported April 13 that she returned from lunch and discovered her green 2001 Dodge Caravan had been stolen from the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 125 Pavilion Parkway. However, it was later discovered the finance company made a mistake with a car payment and that the vehicle was reposed. The vehicle was returned, according to police. Burglary: Jan Trammell of Fayette Medical Clinic, 101 Yorktown Drive, Fayetteville, reported someone broke into a file storage facility at 100 Commerce Drive. The owner could not say if anything was missing at the time of the report. Stolen checks: Teresa Hairston, 48, the owner of Horizons Boutique, 286 Highway 314 Suite C, Fayetteville, reported an employee allegedly came into the business after hours and stole a book of checks and $3,000 in cash. Fayetteville Fire Dept. Water problem: At 7:42 a.m. April 9, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a water problem at 140 Habor Club Lane. Grass fire: At 8:49 p.m. April 13, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a grass fire at 129 N. Glynn St. Vehicle fire: At 11:57 a.m. April 14, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at Banks Road and North Glynn Street. Building fire: At 8:28 p.m. April 14, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a building fire at 120 Monte Ridge Way. The fire started from a ventilation fan. The homeowner extinguished the fire prior to the firefighters arrival, however fire crews checked to home to ensure the fire was completely out. Gas spill: At 11:23 a.m. April 16, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas spill at 95 S. Jeff Davis Drive. Vehicle fire: At 4:20 p.m. April 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 133 Mitchell Road. From April 7-17, Fayetteville firefighters received 63 calls for help. Fayette County Dept. of Fire and Emergency Services Gas leak: At 11:18 a.m. April 14, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a gas leak at 1577 S. Highway 85. Building fire: At 4:59 p.m. April 14, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a building fire at 323 Plantation Circle. Station tour: At 5:36 p.m. April 14, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel gave a tour of the station at 175 Johnson Ave. Building fire: At 1:41 a.m. April 15, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a building fire at 230 Huntcliff Court. Woods fire: At 3:58 p.m. April 15, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a woods fire at 282 Oakridge Trail. Building fire: At 4:43 a.m. April 18, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a building fire at 110 Brandywine Boulevard. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Controlled Burn: At 4 p.m. April 11, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported fire at 1101 Peachtree Parkway North. A commercial burn was in progress but all regulations were being followed and permits were in order. Fire alarm: At 4:37 p.m. April 11, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 201 Walt Banks. The alarm was false and was caused by malfunction. Brush fire: At 4:43 p.m. April 11, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire in the area of 754 Turnbridge Circle. The brush fire was about one acre in size and was extinguished by units on scene. Gas leak: At 9:43 p.m. April 13, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported gas leak at 380 Commerce Drive. Nothing was found. Vehicle Fire: At 3:25 a.m. April 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported vehicle fire in front of 2800 Highway 54 West. Engine 81 arrived to find a pick-up truck fully involved. The personnel extinguished the fire. Structure Fire (Fayette County Assist): At 4:12 p.m. April 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a structure fire at 135 Commerce Drive in Tyrone. Tower 8 and Engine 84 responded with their crews consisting of eight career and four volunteers. These personnel and units helped extinguish the fire along with Fayette County units. Gas leak: At 1:03 p.m. April 16, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported gas leak at 300 Crosstown Road. It appeared that a delivery truck had struck a gas meter. The meter had a broken pipe. The firefighters turned off the gas mitigating the hazard and turned over scene to Atlanta Gas Light. Accident: At 4:41 p.m. April 17, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported vehicle accident at 2717 Highway 54. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. One patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance. From April 11-17, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 48 calls for help. |
