Bad Links? | Womens Imaging Center open at PFHLocal women now have access to a range of imaging services at the new Womens Imaging Center at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. The center provides screening mammography, breast ultrasounds, diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies and bone density screenings among other services. The community is invited to an open house Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center, located in the new 1279 building adjacent to the main hospital campus on Ga. Highway 54 West in Fayetteville. The mammography services offered at the center are certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and accredited by the American College of Radiology. The Womens Imaging Center is committed to offering this community the quality breast-imaging services that are so important for early diagnosis and optimal treatment of breast cancer, said Dr. Debora Coursey-Prah, a board-certified radiologist and the medical director of womens imaging services at the hospital. Our standard of care is high, but we know that the little personal details and touches are important for patient comfort and trust. The hospitals auxiliary contributed $100,000 to the center to create a welcoming ambiance including artwork and decor along with blanket and gown warmers for patients comfort.
