Cox receives ultrasound credentials

Connie Cox has met the rigorous qualifications for certification by the premier credentialing organization for ultrasound professionals, the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Achievement of this certification acknowledges Cox’s personal achievement of a highly recognized professional standard of excellence.

ARDMS credentials represent the highest level of competence in the medical-imaging modality of sonography (ultrasound) testing.

To achieve the ARDMS credential, Cox met the association’s strict prerequisites, including education and career-experience requirements. She also passed three comprehensive examinations: one on the physical principles underlying ultrasound diagnosis and the high-tech instruments used in ultrasound exams, and the others in the corresponding specialty area.

Cox has been awarded credentials in the abdomen, gynecology and obstetrics. She specializes in gynecology and obstetrics and currently practices with Atlanta Perinatal Consultants in Marietta, Georgia.

Commenting on her recent achievement as a new ARDMS registrant, Cox noted that, “I am very satisfied with my achievement. Beyond the knowledge, it took hard work and sacrifices not only of me but my family as well. I could not have accomplished this achievement without the wonderful family that God has blessed me with.” Cox resides with husband Robert and their three children: Shauna, Conner and Haley in Sharpsburg. Cox is a 2004 honor graduate of the Grady School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in Atlanta. She received the Salutatorian Award upon graduating.
