Model homes open in The GablesBrayson Homes has scheduled Grand Opening on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17, in The Gables, a new neighborhood in Minerva Properties resort-styled master planned community which spans the Henry and Spalding County line. The Grand Opening is being observed to celebrate the opening of the two decorated model homes in the community, which are Braysons Kensington and Victoria plans. During the Grand Opening, special pricing will be available on new homes, and Spin the Wheel prizes will be awarded every hour. The model homes will be open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday and from noon-6 p.m. on Sunday during the Grand Opening weekend. The Gables is in the Spalding County portion of the Heron Bay development, and this marks Brayson Homes first move into the Spalding County residential home market. The neighborhood will ultimately have a total of 92 ranch homes with prices from the $170,000s to the $190,000s. Brayson Homes is offering five different award-winning floor plans in the neighborhood, including two new plans for the company. Available options include such items as stone or brick accents on the exteriors, bonus rooms, crown molding, ceramic tile, and solid surface countertops. Residents of The Gables neighborhood in Heron Bay live in a country club community at an affordable price and can now begin enjoying those amenities, including the lake with opportunities for fishing, boating and other outdoor activities, as they are completed. Heron Bay contains a 5,000 sq. ft. lodge which is also serving as the developments information center. A verandah and arbor with an outdoor fireplace overlook the communitys aquatic center plus there is an 18-hole championship golf course, which was designed, developed and managed by Canongate Golf Clubs. The Gables is also the site of a Transplant House, which is a Redwood plan, and the builder has already started this project. The purposes of the Transplant House are to help fund important GTF programs and to encourage organ donation. The Transplant House project is carried out each year by Brayson Homes with the understanding that when a home is sold, 100 percent of the profits support the Georgia Transplant Foundation. The profits from Transplant House sales are much larger than profits received from the normal sale of a home, since many of Brayson Homes contractors, suppliers and vendors donate labor and materials for the project. The contribution from the Transplant House in The Gables will bring the nine-year total donated to over $1 million. Heron Bay is located on Hwy. 155 approximately five miles from Exit 216 off Interstate 75 and just 30 minutes southeast of downtown Atlanta. A 1,150-acre development, the community lies along the eastern shoreline of the 1,100-acre Cole Reservoir. Gwinnett-based Brayson Homes, which was founded in 1977, has sold over 8,000 new homes during its 28-year history. The company is now active in the Gwinnett, DeKalb, South Fulton, Clayton, Coweta, Newton, Paulding, Henry, Cherokee, Carroll, and Spalding County markets. The Brayson Homes group of builders is one of only a few of the 13,000 builders in the more than 20-year history of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program to receive the prestigious Diamond Builder award for quality construction and customer service. Brayson Homes has once again been included in the Atlanta Business Chronicles annual Book of Lists. The company was listed at No. 9 in the publications listing of Atlantas Top 25 Home Builders with the ranking based on the number homes closed in 2003. The company was also ranked as a Top 100 Builder by Builder Magazine in 2004. Brayson Homes has earned awards in the prestigious Professionalism Competition sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing Council.
