He was born in Atlanta, and was graduated from Therrell High School, participating in the sports program. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard A. Bartlett, Peachtree City. He was graduated from Georgia State University in 1970, and was recognized in Whos Who for outstanding leadership and achievement. He began a career in new home sales and marketing in 1977, joining RE/MAX of Fayette. He was recognized by the Fayette Board of Realtors for the Life Million Dollar Club award in 1983. He was a member of Mid-West Georgia Home Builders Association and received the Building of the Year Award for 1990. He was a charter member of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and taught adult Sunday School. He opened Stone Bear Gallery, now an on-line service specializing in Native American Indian artwork, pottery, Navaho rugs and jewelry. Memorial services were at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Pat Sopp Bartlett, Tyrone; sons, Michael B. and Rebecca Bartlett Jr., and Britton Bartlett, all of Panama City Beach, Fla., and William Brian Sopp, Stockbridge; a grandson, Henson Tabor Bartlett, Panama City Beach; mother, Carolyn M. Bartlett, a brother, Brian Bartlett, Peachtree City; a sister, Brenda and Michael Adams, Atlanta, a nephew, Jarrett Ramos; a niece, Faith Ramos; an uncle, the Rev. Services were at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Thompson officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, James Anthony Tony Allison, Fayetteville; sons, Bobby Getz, Fayetteville, and Todd Getz, Senoia; brothers, Gerald Cash, Fayetteville, and Joey Songer, Gainesville, Ga.; and sisters, Patsy DeLauder, Fayetteville, Jackie Pattillo, Douglasville, and Teri Smith, Plantation, Fla. He served as lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946, piloting B17s, B25s, and P51s in Italy and North Africa. He spent many years after the war as a commercial pilot. He was associated with ReMax Real Estate. He attended the Fellowship Baptist Church, Fairburn, and was a member of the VFW in Lake City. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Wallace McAbee officiating. Interment was at Trundles Crossroads Cemetery, Sevierville, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Joan Gary Burns; children, Nena Dragoo, Yucaipa, Calif., Cherie Thompson, Newton Centre, Mass, Garey Burns, Atlanta, Glenn Burns, Stone Mountain, and Sally Heintz, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Nicole Myers, Jennifer Southern, Tracy Burnette, Michael Burns, Brian Burns, Gregory Burns, Jeffery Burns, and Travis Burns; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Trevor, Bethany, J. He was born March 29, 1920 in Beverly, N. J. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Signal Corps in World War II. He was graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was retired from Public Service Electric and Gas Company of New Jersey and moved to Peachtree City in 1980. Memorial services were at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Hunter Main; sons, David and Louise Main, Peachtree City, and Jeffrey and Nancy Main, Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, Susan and Gyuri Nemeth, Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Hehir, 73, Fayetteville, died March 27, 2005. She was born Oct. 7, 1928 in Atlanta. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Mark Medlin officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Survivors include sons Ronald Hehir, Cartersville, Johnny Hehir and Herbert Hehir, both of Fayetteville, Michael Hehir, Jackson, and Dennis Hehir, McDonough; daughters, Gloria Hehir, Panama City, Fla., and Mary Anderson, Fayetteville; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Don Norman CoxDon Norman Cox Sr., 87, Peachtree City, died March 28, 2005. He was born Jan. 20, 1918, the son of Mack and Della Miller Cox. He worked with his father curing tobacco in Springfield, Tenn. After the death of his father, he left college to support his mother and younger brother. He was retired in 1977 with 40 years of government service, 21 years with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and 19 with the United States Air Force. He began a third career with Falcon Jet Corporation, assisting in the development, modification and certification of the United States Coast Guards Guardian Aircraft now in service. Memorial services are planned for Sunday, April 10, 4 p.m., at the Carl J. Mowell chapel, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Allen Cox, Peachtree City; a son, Don Norman and Sherry LaTella Cox Jr.; a granddaughter, Tara Elizabeth Cox and Daniel Luetkemeyer; a grandson, Don Norman and Tracie Cox III; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Perry, and Chloe.
