Bad Links? | Teams seeking wins before their spring break beginsLandmark Christian picked up a 6-2 region win over Mt. Paran last week. Tommy Kinney was the winning pitcher, giving up six hits and striking out five batters. Miles King went 2-for-3 with two doubles and Tyler Chapman went 2-for-3 with one double in the win. It was the War Eagles second region win. They will host Eagles landing Christian Academy on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The Starrs Mill Panthers lost to Hardaway on Saturday in the ninth inning. Hardaway tied the game in the sixth and took a two run lead in the top of the seventh. Starrs Mill answered in the bottom of the inning and the two teams were deadlocked until Hardaway answered in the ninth to take a 6-4 win. Starrs Mill will play at Union Grove Friday at 7 p.m. and will play at Collins Hill on Saturday at 2 p.m. Sandy Creek lost to Northgate on Friday 5-1 with Tyler Betsill driving in the lone run for the Patriots. They will play at Whitewater today at 4 p.m. and will play at Haralson County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. McIntosh lost to Woodward Academy on Friday 5-4. Drew Webb, Brendan Hall and Tyson Sandlin all scored runs with Andrew McFarland and Cameron Wallis driving in runs. Zack Fallon started the game on the mound and Trevor Pippin finished. Fallon struck out four batters while Pippin struck out two. McIntosh will host Creekside today at 5:30 p.m. and will ply at Chapel Hill on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Fayette County will host Lovejoy on Friday at 7 p.m. and Our Lady of Mercy will play at Lakeside-Evans today at 4 p.m. |
