He had retired with over 30 years service with the United States Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Metairie Baptist Church and a member of the Metairie Masonic Lodge. Services were at the Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home chapel with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lena Adams Nelson, Berwick, La.; a son, Charles T. and Anna Nelson Jr., Peachtree City; grandchildren, Cathy Nelson, Michael Nelson, Adam Nelson, and Lyla Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Garrett Hanks, Lena Westphal, Carline Nelson, and Michael Nelson II. Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie, La., was in charge. Edward John MillerEdward John Miller, 83, died March 16, 2005 at his winter residence in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He was born Oct. 26, 1921 and was reared in the Pittsburgh area. He moved to Peachtree City in 1973 and founded Bulldog Supply, Inc. in 1978. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte L. Miller. Memorial services were at Carmichael-Hemperley chapel. Survivors include a son, Michael S. Miller, Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Holly and Herb Hooper, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; grandchildren, J. H. and Mindy Hooper, and Jonathan and Mary Beth Hooper, all of Peachtree City, Kristin Miller, Michael S. Miller Jr. ,and Matthew Miller, all of Richmond, Va., and Michelle and Chris Loker, Roanoke, Va.; and seven great-grandchildren. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. William R. AllgoodWilliam R. Bill Allgood, Lovejoy, died March 20, 2005. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. J. W. Wallis, and the Rev. Dr. David Chancey officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Annette L. Allgood, Lovejoy; children, Bernice and Calvin Eaves, Austell, Andy and Nancy Allgood, Leesburg, Tracy E. Allgood, Monroe, Brenda and Tim Welch, Mableton, Becky and Toma GjurshaI, Warren, Mich., Stacy Allgood, Peachtree City, and Amanda and Brandon Benson, Smyrna; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. Ella Vee BrackettElla Vee Brackett, 83, Union City, died March 22, 2005. She was born Sept. 24, 1921 in Union County. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Horace Brackett. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include daughters, Jane and Alan Freed, Abingdon, Md., Lynda and Ron Alexander, Peachtree City, and Freddi Hix and Ronald Morris, Jonesboro; a sister, Betty Jean Payne, Blairsville; grandchildren, Brandi Davis, Michael Kittrell, Holly Graff, David Freed, and Kristin Alexander; and great-grandchildren, Jaime Davis, and Anne Graff.
