Four PTC teams win at the Red Diamond Vulcan Cup

Peachtree City had four teams emerge victorious from the 2005 Red Diamond Vulcan Cup soccer tournament in Birmingham, Ala. The PTC Lazers 95, a team of 10 year old boys defeated the RFC Generals of Hixon, Tenn. 3-1. The GSA 93 Phoenix Red, a team of boys of the GSA Soccer Club, defeated Alpharetta’s Ambush Red by a score of 3-1 as well. The PTC Lazer White, a team of 12 year old girls, defeated the Silverbacks Navy of Marietta 1-0 and the PTC Lazers Elite 90, a team of 15 year old girls, defeated SWI Blitz Premier from Evansville, Ind. 2-1.

The tournament featured 226 teams from 14 states.
