Hopewell UMC sets plans for Easter week

Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will celebrate Palm Sunday, March 20, with a choral presentation of “Hosanna to the King” at the 11 a.m. service.

On Maundy Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m., Hopewell will celebrate with a Tenebrae service. The church choir will present five selections from “The Resurrection and the Life” to compliment the service.

The annual Easter egg hunt will take place on the church grounds Saturday, March 26. The children’s activities will begin at noon. For more information, call 770-306-7537.

On Easter Sunday, March 27, the church will hold both an 8:30 a.m. and an 11 a.m. service. The choir will present five more selections to celebrate the season.

Hopewell United Methodist is on Jenkins Road, across from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone.
