Peachtree City Police Dept. Break-in: Four juveniles ranging from 11 to 15 were charged March 6 after someone allegedly seen them enter an empty house at 104 Hickory Drive, Peachtree City, without permission. An 11-year-old was charged with criminal trespassing. A 14-year-old was charged with criminal trespassing and minor in possession of tobacco. Another 14-year-old was charged with criminal trespassing and possession of fireworks. A 15-year-old was charged with criminal trespassing in connection with the incident. Thefts: Chester Patrick Jones, 18, of Kennesaw Oak Court, Kennesaw, has allegedly been linked to several crimes in the city, Peachtree City police say. Jones was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of entering auto in connection with four crimes. The crimes allegedly were committed in February, officials say. Hazardous material release: At 10:47 a.m. March 1, Fayetteville firefighters investigated a report of hazardous material released into the air at 570 W. Lanier Ave. Gas leak: At 8:20 a.m. March 2, Fayetteville firefighters investigated a gas leak at 276 N. Glynn St. Gas spill: At 6:59 p.m. March 2, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas spill at 135 Majesty Lane. City firefighters assisted Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel. The county fire department is the lead agency on the incident. Building fire: At 5:48 a.m. March 5, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a building fire at 200 Brookshire Drive. City firefighters provided additional manpower to Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel. The county fire department is the lead agency on the incident. From Feb. 28-March 5: the Fayetteville Fire Department received 50 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Accident: At 7:41 a.m. Feb. 28, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at 1127 Highway 74 South. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Fire alarm: At 11:37 a.m. Feb. 28, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 213 Smoke Rise Trace. The alarm was false and unfounded. Carbon dioxide alarm: At 11:16 a.m. March 1, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a carbon dioxide alarm at 191 McIntosh Trail. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Gas leak: At 7 a.m. March 2, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a gas leak at 155 Terrane Ridge. The cause of the leak was alleviated. Gas leak: At 7:21 a.m. March 2, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported gas leak or odor in the area of 120 Battery Way. Nothing was found. Fire alarm: At 10:19 a.m. March 2, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported fire alarm at 201 Walt Banks. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Structure fire: At 9:04 p.m. March 2, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 1823 Peachtree Station Circle. Firefighters arrived to find the residence had a smell of smoke or an electrical fire. During the investigation for a source of the smell, a heating/air conditioning unit was found to have a burnt motor. Power was shut down to the unit and residence given back to the owner with instructions to have the unit repaired. Management was called and informed of problem. Fire alarm: At 4:08 p.m. March 3, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 109 City Circle. The alarm was false and unfounded. Fire alarm: At 8:16 a.m. March 4, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at Flat Creek Golf Club. The alarm was false and unintentional and due to construction. Fire alarm: At 2:39 p.m. March 4, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 300 South Peachtree Parkway. The alarm was false and unfounded. Accident: At 9:28 p.m. March 4, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at Ga. Highways 54 and 74. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. One patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance. Structure fire: At 11:56 p.m. March 4, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 1621 Peachtree Station Circle. Firefighters arrived to find the residence had a smell of smoke or an electrical fire. Fire alarm: At 12:01 a.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported fire alarm at 200 Market Place Connector. The alarm was false and caused by malfunction. Brush fire: At 5:47 a.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire in the area of 201 S. Peachtree Parkway. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire in the area. The fire was extinguished. Accident: At 10:54 a.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at Kedron Drive and Ga. Highway 74. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Golf cart accident: At 12:21 p.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a golf cart on Peachtree Parkway at the entrance of Braelinn Shopping Center. The actual location was the Three Ponds area with a golf cart in the pond. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Brush fire: At 12:53 p.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire in the area of 250 South Peachtree Parkway. Personnel and equipment arrived to find a small fire in the area. Fire was extinguished. Structure fire: At 3:33 p.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported structure fire at 221 Groveland Drive. Firefighters arrived to find the residence had a smell of smoke in the bathroom and attic area. During the investigation for a source of the smoke, a fan unit was found to have a caught fire. There was minor damage in the bathroom and in the attic area above the bathroom. Power was shut down to the unit and residence given back to the owner with instructions to have the unit repaired by an electrician. Vehicle fire: At 3:59 p.m. March 5, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a reported vehicle fire at Robinson Road and Peachtree Parkway South. Firefighters arrived to find the fire out and a wrecker was called. From Feb. 28-March 6: Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 61 calls for help.
