Lee Berry

Lee Berry, 64, Jonesboro, died Feb. 17, 2005. He was born Feb. 13, 1941 in Speedwell, Tenn. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of U.A.W. Memorial services were at First Baptist Church of Peachtree City with Pastor Chris Maness officiating. Interment of cremains was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Jackie S. Berry, a daughter, Melinda and John Dreisbach, Hampton; mother, Ethel Berry, and brothers, Keith Berry, and Larry Berry, all of Speedwell, Tenn. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Richard McCormick

Richard “Rick” McCormick, 42, Fayetteville, died Feb. 18, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier this year. He was born Jan. 3, 1963 in Tarrytown, N. Y. He moved to Georgia in 1987. He was a foreman for Brent Scarbrough Construction Company. An avid sportsman, he loved to play basketball, golf, his saxophone and listening to music. He was a member of Brooks United Methodist Church. Memorial services were at the Brooks United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Scholfield officiating. Survivors include his wife, Lesia McCormick, Fayetteville; parents, Ted and Joanne McCormick, Ridgefield, Conn.; sons, John and Gillian Knost, McDonough, Andy Knost, and Matt Knost, both of Fayetteville; and a brother, Ted and Cheryl McCormick, Berlin, N. Roger M. Ezell Jr.

Roger M. Ezell Jr., 45, Senoia, died Feb. 19, 2005. He was born July 8, 1959 in Newnan. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Services were at Christ’s Church at Whitewater with Minister Michael Plank officiating. Interment was at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, patty Sue Ezell, Senoia; a son, Brad Ezell, Senoia; a daughter, Danielle Ezell, Senoia; parents, R. Mack and Sharon Ezell Sr., Fayetteville; a brother, Christopher and Wendy Ezell, Senoia; a sister, Tresa and Jim Shehee, Senoia; and a grandmother, Hazel Ezell, Athens, Ala. Ruth Pearl Yancey

Ruth Pearl Yancey, 88, Fayetteville, died Feb. 19, 2003. She was born Dec. 15, 1916 in Paulding County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Laudus Yancey. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jim Willis and the Rev. Darrell Hayes officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons, Gary Yancey, Eatonton, and Danny and Mary Ann Yancey, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Cindy and Dorian Womack, Woodbine, Terri and Darrell Kinney, Jackson, Jimmy Yancey, Fayetteville, and Cathy and Randy Liscomb; and eight great-grandchildren. Estelle Floyd Ramsden

Estelle Floyd Ramsden, 83, Fayetteville, died Feb. 19, 2005. She was born Feb. 27, 1921 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ramsden Jr. Services were at the New Hope Baptist Church, North Campus, with interment at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy and Charles Paille; grandchildren, Tommy Paille, Randy Ramsden, Bonnie Adams, and Chris Harbin; great-grandchildren, Crystal French, Travis Paille, and Trevor Paille; and a great-great-grandchild, Landon French. Thelma Peek Davis

Thelma Peek Davis, 91, Riverdale, died Feb. 22, 2005. She was born June 27, 1913 in Fayette County, daughter of Tom and Lillie Davis Davis. She was preceded in death by husbands, Hugh Peek and Tillman Davis, and a son, Fletcher Hugh Peek. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Tom Daugherty and the Rev. Martin Huggins officiating. Interment was at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include children, Ruth Peek and Jack Beazley, and Jerry and Linda Peek, all of Riverdale, Dan and Genevieve Peek, Fayetteville, and Elizabeth Davis and Jimmy Legg, Kennesaw; a brother, Bill and Margaret Davis, Fayetteville; a sister, Thena White, Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Johnette Peek. Dr. Edgar Dean Mixon

Dr. Edgar Dean Mixon, 50, Fayetteville, died Feb. 24, 2005. He was born Feb. 8, 1955 in Danville, Ill. He was preceded in death by twin boys, Benjamin Mixon and Daniel Mixon. He was a member of Harps Crossing Baptist Church. Services were at Harps Crossing Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Watson officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Mixon, Fayetteville; sons, Jeremy Mixon and Samuel Mixon; daughters, Jenni and Matt Kellerman, Ashley Mixon, and Abigail Mixon; grandchildren, Caroline Breedon, and McKenzie Kellerman; and a sister, Norma and Rex Gordon, N.
