Bad Links? | Public invited to meeting on free medical clinic in FayetteA public meeting about the efforts to establish a free clinic to serve uninsured Fayette residents will be held Tuesday, March 8, at the Fayette Family YMCA on Huiet Road from 7-9 p.m. Organizers of Fayette CARE Clinic (Compassing and Respect for Everyone) wants to provide preventative medical and dental care for the working poor, who earn too much to qualify for state or federal assistance, but dont make enough to cover medical bills. In many cases, the working poor have jobs which do not provide medical insurance, organizers said. The effort is being supported by a number of local physicians, nurses and citizens in addition to Fayette Community Hospital, which has pledged to handle all of the clinics lab work for free.
