Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home, Dothan, Ala., was in charge. Harry W. Boyles Jr. Harry W. Boyles Jr., 66, Riverdale, died Feb. 12, 2005. He retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service. Services were at the Pope Dickson & Son Jonesboro chapel with Curtis Turner officiating. Survivors include his wife, June Boyles, a son, David and Alyson Boyles, Fayetteville; a grandchild, Madison Boyles; and a brother, Ronald Boyles, Canaan, Conn. Pope Dickson & Son Funeral Home, Jonesboro, was in charge. Judy H. Thrailkill Judy H. Thrailkill, 60, McDonough, died Feb. 13, 2005. She was born April 17, 1944 in Nashville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Thrailkill. She was a human resource secretary for the Clayton County Board of Education. She was a member of Kenwood First Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Lynn McLain and the Rev. Darrell Hayes officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include children, Stacie Thrailkill, Atlanta, and Joel and Hope Thrailkill, Locust Grove; grandchildren, Leah Thrailkill and Sydney Thrailkill, both of Locust Grove; sisters, Mary Green, Camden, Ark., Anna and Gene Rasco, Ashdown, Ark., Martha and Larry Earls, Marietta, Sherry and George Craft, Merryville, La., and Phyllis and Ed Orr, Bentonville, Ark. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. Melba Baughman Melba Baughman, 99, Brooks, died Feb. 14, 2005. She was born Dec. 31, 1905 in Effingham County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Conway Baughman. They were longtime residents of Hapeville before moving to Brooks. Graveside services were at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park, with the Rev. Chuck Chambers officiating. Survivors include sons, Charles Baughman, and Harry and Evelyn Baughman, all of Brooks; daughters, Connie Almand, Eustis, Fla., and Ann and Larry Ratterree, Hollywood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services were at the McDonough Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. J. W. Wallis, and the Rev. Dr. David Chancey officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro. Survivors include her husband, Everett Webb, Fayetteville; daughters, Beverly and Bill Thompson, Peachtree City, and Denise and David Jenkins, Fayetteville; a brother, Hughey Holsonback, Greenwood, S. C.; grandchildren, Manda and Scott Woodward, Sharpsburg, Whitney Jenkins, Duluth, and Brent Jenkins, Norcross; and a great-grandchild, Logan Woodward. Carl J. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, North Campus. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Wally Woodcock officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Paulette Bryant Crisp, Fayetteville; sons James and Angie Crisp III, Lamar County, Jeffery and April Crisp, Tennille, and Michael and Sarah Crisp, Fayetteville; daughters, Patricia and Jeff Roach, Fayetteville, and Melissia and Jason Crenshaw, Griffin; seven grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Crisp, Tennessee; and a sister, Mary Sue Gilley, Alabama. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Michael James Laporte Michael James Mike Laporte, 53, Peachtree City, formerly of Chatham and Belle River, Ontario, died Feb. 15, 2005. He was born July 16, 1951 in Canada, the son of the late Harry and Hattie Laporte. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Nelson Caza. A funeral mass was at St. Simon St. Jude Catholic Church, Belle River, Ontario, Canada, with Father Rob Rocheleau officiating. Interment was at the parish cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Karen E. Laporte, Peachtree City; children, Brad Laporte, Sharpsburg, and Cheryl Laporte Ritson, Hampton; brothers, Bill and Marty Laporte, Edmond, Okla., and Dan and Lorraine Laporte, Belle River, Ont.; a sister, Janet and Charlie St. Pierre, Belle River, Ont.; mother-in-law, Kay Caza, Belle River, Ont.; a brother-in-law, Keith and Bev Caza, Shawnigan Lake, Ont.; and sisters-in-law, Kathy and Gary Dupuis, Belle River, Int., and Karol Caza, Windsor, Ont. Memorial donations may be made in honor of his niece, Kaitlyn Bedard, who is battling a rare form of leukemia, known as AML. Cooley, 79, Georgetown, Ind., formerly of Fayetteville, died Feb. 17, 2005. He was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a native of Floyd Knobs, Ind. He was a veteran of the United States Marines in World War II and the Korean War and a member of the Kentucky Air National Guard and the Walnut Street Baptist Church. He was a retired mechanic for Eastern Airlines. Services were at the Hardy Valley Funeral Home with interment at Louisville, Ky., Memorial Gardens West. Survivors include his wife, Ann Lay Cooley; sons, Wayne Cooley, Karl Cooley, and Michael Cooley, who resides in Fayette County; a daughter, Carol Cosper; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
