Now that weve moved past the middle of February, hopefully a spring thaw is just around the corner.
As the weather warms, well once again be able to enjoy the open spaces and dine outside. Fayette County is lucky to have several restaurants with lovely outdoor dining areas. Here are some pics for the upcoming warm, spring days:
Pascals Bistros in Peachtree City. When Pascals opened in the old Agnes and Muriels space a few years ago, it was one of the first restaurants that featured authentic European cuisine. Too many, its one of the best restaurants in the county, and has a really fun patio to enjoy the warmer weather.
Mellow Mushroom in Peachtree City. This outpost of the Atlanta pizza chain offers really good pies and calzones. When the weather turns sunny, its a great place to enjoy a slice and a cold beverage.
City Cafe and Bakery in Fayetteville. Another little piece of Europe in our county. The baked goods are to die for, and I love their innovative menu. City Cafe also offers a beautifully landscaped patio to enjoy your meal.
La Parillia in Fayetteville. One of the better of the many Mexican eateries that dot the landscape. Although its location in the Fayette Pavilion is not the most scenic in the area, the outdoor space offers a nice location for chips and salsa and quesadillas.
Starbucks in Fayetteville and Peachtree City. Both locales offer great patios and the Peachtree City location is the place to see and be seen at the Avenue. Theres not a better location to enjoy a steaming cup of Sumatra coffee, a scone and the Sunday New York Times.
The Famous Fish Company at the Avenue in Peachtree City. After youve enjoyed the paper, amble just down the street to Famous Fish. The South-African inspired eatery offers innovative approaches to seafood and features a great outdoor space to enjoy the weather.
Now, if the weather will just get a little warmer, we can dine alfresco and enjoy the outdoor scenery in our county.
