Providence plans Ash Wednesday service

Providence United Methodist Church will hold an Ash Wednesday service Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 7:15 p.m. The service will include music, a short message and the imposition of ashes. PTC UMC sets Ash Wednesday service

The Peachtree City United Methodist Church will hold an Ash Wednesday service Feb 9 at 7 p.m. at the Worship Center, 225 Robinson Rd. in Peachtree City. The service, which will be preached by Rev. St. Gabriel’s to hold Ash Wednesday service

Members of the Catholic Church of St. Gabriel will observe the beginning of the Lenten season with a communion service and three Masses on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 9. Masses will be at 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 and 7 p.m. The Lenten observances will also include the Stations of the Cross each Friday beginning at 7 p.m. St. Gabriels is at 152 Antioch Road, Fayetteville. Liberty Baptist plans tsunami fund raiser

Liberty Baptist Church, located at 1077 Ga. Hwy. 314, will have a Solid Gospel Dinner and Concert on Friday, Feb. 11, to benefit the tsunami victims. All money raised from the love offering taken during the concert will go to aid in the tsunami relief effort. Hymn singalong set for Saturday in PTC

Valentine dance planned at FFUMC

Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a Valentine dessert and dance for singles and sweethearts of all ages Saturday, Feb. 19, from 7:30-10 p.m. in the gym. Greekfest scheduled for March 5

The first annual Greekfest will take place on Saturday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m.at the Dixie Wing Commemorative Hangar, Falcon Field, Peachtree City. The event will feature a Greek buffet dinner, homemade desserts, music and Greek dancing with live band, the Grecian Echoes. Bethany UMC gets ready for 150th anniversary

This year, Bethany United Methodist Church will celebrate 150 years of service to the community. Peggy Ballard is in charge of planning the anniversary event.
