Bad Links? | Fayetteville First Baptist plans mission tripsMembers of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church are planning at least two mission trips this year one to Ethiopia and another to Arizona. Plans are underway for the church to partner with Mekanisa Addis Kidan Baptist Church in Addis Abba, Ethiopia to help the local community with human needs projects. Men, women and students from Fayetteville First Baptist will tackle such things as assisting with a water system, construction of a public toilet facility, assisting in putting tin roofs on homes, and outreach, literacy ministries, and discipleship for believers, and hospitality ministries toward the local hospital. In Arizona, the mission team will work with the Tobago Indians of the Tohono Oldham Indian Reservation in Sells, Ariz. Activities planned for the Arizona mission include hosting a Vacation Bible School after school and hosting a ladies Bible study. The group also will participate in revival, music, construction and other ministries. The Arizona team will include youth and adults. Everyone can do something and we will have something for everyone to do, a spokesperson said. The Arizona mission is planned for May 9-21. |
