He was retired as a lieutenant colonel with service in World War Ii and Vietnam after serving 22 years. He worked for Champion Paper for 18 years. Services were at the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores with the Rev. Robert Madsen officiating. Interment was at Pine Rest Memorial Park. Survivors include sons, Thomas David and Karen Small, Centerville, Tenn., and Lt. Col. Rolan Wade and Anita Small, Peachtree City; a daughter, Susan A. and Mike McDonald, Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Neal Small, SouthHaven, Miss.; sisters, Era Archer, West Hempstead, N. Alan Rush Little Alan Rush Little, 65, Peachtree City, died Jan. 29, 2005. He was born April 3, 1939 in Kansas City, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Connaughton Little, Peachtree City; sons, Rush Little, Houston, Texas, and Kyle Little, Peachtree City; a daughter, Sarah Little, Peachtree City; a sister, Barbara Votaw, Philadelphia, Pa.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Mary Ann Connaughton, Dallas, Texas. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. Joseph A. Runnels Joseph A. Runnels, 71, Fayetteville, died Jan. 30, 2005. He was born April 21, 1933 in Hattiesburg, Miss. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother. Memorial services were at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Hugh Kirby officiating. Survivors include his mother, Icie Mae, Petal, Miss.; a son, Joe Runnels, Pass Christian, Miss.; daughters Rhonda Runnels, Keller, Texas, and Julie Runnels, Gulfport, Miss; four grandchildren; and special friend, Shirley Grier, Fayetteville. Mann Augusta R. Mann, 91, Peachtree City, died Jan. 30, 2005. She was born June 15, 1913 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Doyal D. Mann. She attended school in Atlanta, and at Oglethorpe University, and the graduate school at the University of Georgia. She served as principal of the Cliftondale and Laurel Hills schools, retiring in 1978. She was honored with a state senate resolution recognizing her impact on the education community within Fulton County. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bill Delay officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include children, Cynthia M. and Byron Wise, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donna M. Wyatt, Peachtree City; a brother, Francis C. and Mildred Rogers, East Point; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Therese K. OMeara Therese K. OMeara, 75,.Jefferson, Wis., died Feb. 4, 2005. She was born March 12, 1929 in Lanesburgh Township, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. OMeara, whom she married Aug. 30, 1952 in Heidelberg, Minn. They had previously lived in Peachtree City. Services were St. Scholastica Catholic Church, Heidelberg, Minn., with interment at the church cemetery.
