Bad Links? | RSMS student faces assault chargeBy LEE WILLIAMS Peachtree City police officers responded to the Harmony Village Apartment complex after receiving a report that two Rising Starr Middle School students were being disruptive towards a school bus driver. The bus driver reported that she directed a female student to bring a piece of candy to her, as it was not allowed on the bus, PCPD police Chief James Murray said. The female student refused and her brother, who was also on the bus, intervened by confronting the bus driver. The 13-year-old boy removed his jacket and attempted to assault the driver, but students held him back to prevent the attack, police said. The juvenile was released to his father pending an appearance in Fayette County Juvenile Court, Murray said. |
