Local business reaches out to children in hospital
Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty hosted a Dec. 11 workshop to benefit Childrens Healthcare of Atlantas Admissions clinic. Twelve hundred VIP (very important patient) bags were created for the kids. Last year more than 700 hundred bags were assembled.
The week before Christmas break the After School Programs throughout Fayette County were busy decorating over 1,200 white lunch bags with cheerful messages for year-round use. The bags were then assembled by a group of volunteers at Santas workshop. The bags were stuffed with donated kids meal toys from Fayette County fast-food restaurants along with a coloring page and crayons. The community service project was a huge success with a surprise visit from Santa.
If anyone is interested in donating their kids meal toys for next year, contact Janis Kraft 678-907-4810 or drop them off to Krafts attention at Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty office at 1968 Hwy 54 west, Fayetteville, just outside Peachtree City.
You dont know what it means to these kids, said a spokesperson for Childrens Healthcare, which has more than 800 admissions each month. To give them something to do while waiting to be admitted is such a wonderful thing.
