The ninth annual music concert to benefit Fayette Senior Services, a long-standing community tradition, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at Sams Auditorium in Fayetteville. The headline musical group is The Silver Eagle Band with a special showcase appearance of Fayette County High Schools Chorus Quartet.
Back by popular demand, The Silver Eagles Band specializes in fabulous renditions of music from the 60s and 70s. The group plays timeless hits such as "Under the Boardwalk," Double Shot (Of My Babys Love), "Brown Eyed Girl," "Sweet Home Alabama," Hound Dog, and many other favorites that appeal to any age.
The Silver Eagle Band is comprised of some of the best local talent in metro Atlanta. In addition to performing throughout the southeastern United States, the band has been regular performers at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City and theyve been the opening act for many well known artists including the Drifters.
The Fayette County High School Chorus Quartet has also been featured before at the annual concert. The popular quartet is renowned for reviving memories from the doo-wap era of music and will perform many popular melodies.
"The Silver Eagles Band is very much in demand and we are thrilled to have them back with us this year, said Andy Carden, executive director of Fayette Senior Services. We are also honored to have the talented FCHS chorus quartet with us again.
No one will want to miss these crowd-pleasing performances, said FSS Board of Directors President Vicki Turner. Both groups provide quality entertainment and the event promises to be a night to remember.
