Cancer Support

The Cancer Support Group meeting at First Baptist Church in Newnan will hold its first program of 2005 on January 5 at 10 a.m. in Room 120C at 15 West Washington Street.

A special discussion session will be led by Rev. Ken Rose, Pastor of Covenant Baptist Church. The discussion will allow guests an opportunity to voice emotions regarding times when “God doesn’t make sense.”

This is often the feeling of an individual who is overwhelmed with the illness of cancer and its interruption of life and family. Guests are invited to bring their questions for sharing and for discussion with Rev. Rose.

The support group welcomes cancer survivors, their caregivers, family, friends, and anyone who would like to learn more about life after cancer while enjoying the caring and fellowship of others. In addition to the program, time is provided for refreshments and meeting other guests.
