Providence to offer ‘experimental’ Christian course beginning Jan. 12

Providence United Methodist Church will offer the Alpha Course, an experimental, free, 11-week practical introduction to the Christian faith, beginning Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

“Anyone can come,” a spokesperson said, “whether you are a believer or not, whether you have been out of the church for awhile or not. Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith is welcome.”

Each session begins with dinner, followed by a large-group presentation and small-group discussion.

“Here’s your chance to ask your questions and express your opinions,” the spokesperson said. “Watch the introduction presentation and see if Alpha is right for you.”
