Residents of the Balmoral Village Apartment complex are breathing easier now that six people have been arrested after barging in a vacationer's home and helping themselves to her restroom and several items of jewelry.
Brandon Herring, 19, of Wynnmeade Parkway, James Armond Blackmon, 19, of Peachtree Stations Circle, Nicholas Artel Blackmon, 18, of Peachtree Station Circle and three juveniles, all of Peachtree City, were charged with criminal trespassing following the July 25 incident.
An unidentified resident told Peachtree City police she returned home from vacation to find someone entered her home without her permission.
"Several rooms and closets had been entered and items had been moved. A bed was found to have been used, as well as a bathroom where feces and urine was discovered," PTCPD Chief James Murray said in a prepared statement. "A closer inspection by the resident revealed that several items of jewelry had also been taken."
After following up on several leads that surfaced during the first two weeks of this month, police were able to close in on the suspects.
The case is ongoing and more arrests are expected in the case, Murray said.
