Episcopal Church of the Nativity announces Christmas services

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville has announced its schedule for Christmas. The public is invited to attend all services. A nursery will be provided.

The first service on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, will be at 3:30 p.m., a service of Holy Eucharist especially designed for families with children. This service will include an informal pageant presented by the children in costume.

At 5 p.m., there will be a traditional candlelight service with Holy Eucharist, featuring special instrumental selections.

A musical prelude will begin at 10 p.m., followed by a Festal Service of Holy Eucharist, which will begin at 10:30 p.m. This service will include Nativity’s St. Cecilia choir and will incorporate incense.

Additionally, a Service of Lessons and Carols will be offered on Sunday, Dec. 26, at both the 9 a.m. Children and Family Service and the 11 a.m. traditional service. These simple services will offer lots of music followed by a short Eucharist.

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is at 130 Antioch Road, just off of Hwy. 92 South at Harp’s Crossing in Fayetteville. It is one of 93 parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
