Peachtree City Police Department

Car theft: Nelson Waldermar Peraza Lopez, 22, of Kings Bridge Drive, Peachtree City, reported 7 a.m. Dec. 4, that someone stole his black 2004 Honda Accord, valued at $28,000.

Theft: Robin Lambert Davis, 47, of Hyacinth Lane, Peachtree City, reported 11:30 a.m. Dec. 6, that someone stole her stainless steel grill, valued at $600, from her back porch.

Car recovered: Police recovered a black Honda Accord on Nov. 25. The vehicle, which was listed in poor condition, belonged to David Rasmussen of 405 W. McIntosh Road, Brooks. The car was involved in a hit-and-run accident that damaged city property on Nov. 24 at Peachtree Parkway and Lake Kedron, police said. Police said Rasmussen said he left the vehicle at the scene and he suspected the car had been stolen.

Caught in the act: Police stopped a man driving a green golf cart without headlights about 1:30 p.m. Dec. 1, in Gables Court, 1000 Stevens Entry, Building G. The man bolted from police. Upon further inspection, police discovered the golf cart had been stolen from McIntosh High School. The cart, valued at $1,000, belonged to Patricia Chisholm, 45, of Rock Mull, Peachtree City, a teacher at Mays High School.

Theft: Charles Steven Koopman, 30, of Bedford Park, Peachtree City, a pharmacist at Eckerd, reported at 11:35 p.m. Dec. 7, that someone stole his white golf cart, valued at $800, while it was parked at Publix, 1200 Ga. Highway 74 South.

Theft: German Alfonso Vallejo, 39, of Tower Road, Peachtree City, reported 10 a.m. Dec. 7, that someone stole an adult’s blue bicycle and a child’s silver BMX bicycle, all valued at $165, from his back yard. Vallejo alleged two juveniles stole the bikes.

Tyrone Police Department

Burglary: Police are investigating a string of burglaries that took place between Dec. 3 and Dec. 6 at a John Wieland Homes subdivision under construction. Employee Jerry Davis reported the thefts that resulted in more than $23,980 in property loss.

A black Whirlpool dishwasher, cook top, vent hood and wall oven, all valued at $23,000, were stolen at 102 Maycroft Court. A garage door, valued at $100, was damaged during a break-in at 101 Worthington Court, Tyrone.

Three lights, valued at $800, were removed from the kitchen at 413 Wynfield Drive, Tyrone. A light fixture, valued at $80, was stolen from the bathroom at 408 Wynfield Drive, Tyrone.

Fraud: Terry Smoot, an employee of Talbot State Bank, 998 Senoia Road, Tyrone, reported Dec. 2, a man deposited a business check for $4,786 written to himself at a Riverdale branch, He withdrew $3,300 from the Tyrone branch, and he deposited $2,198 at the Riverdale branch. The man later withdrew $1,500 from the Tyrone branch. The business account the checks were written is closed, officials said.

Theft: An employee of TCG Holdings, 602 Dogwood Trail, Tyrone, reported Dec. 11, that someone stole three pallets of steel metal studs, valued at $4,000, from 1158 Senoia Road.

Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services

Vehicle accident: At 12:29 p.m. Dec. 11, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a vehicle accident with injuries at Ga. Highway 54 and Banks Road.

Vehicle accident: At 11:06 p.m. Dec. 11, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a vehicle accident at Ga. Highway 314 and New Hope Road. The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to 22 calls for assistance between Dec. 10 and Dec. 12.

Fayetteville Fire Department

House fire: At 5 p.m. Dec. 11, Fayetteville Fire Department and the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a chimney fire at 496 Oak St., Fayetteville. Firefighters contained the blaze to the fire box, the place where the wood is placed, and the chimney, Fayetteville Fire Department spokesman Lt. Bill Rieck said. Firefighters used one water can and one regular supply of dry chemical to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported. Both agencies responded to the blaze as part of their Automatic Mutual Aid Pact, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Capt. Pete Nelms said. The Fayetteville Fire Department responded to 57 calls for help between Dec. 4 and Dec. 12, according to the Fayetteville Fire Department’s records.
