The Fayette County Animal Shelter will be closed Dec. 23-26 for the holidays. To accomodate those who would like to adopt a pet, they will be open on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Adoptions on this day will qualify for not only the usual 50 percent off spay and neuter, a 25 percent discount off their first vet visit and the optional 50 percent off training, but they will also receive a special gift.
This will be the first Saturday that the the shelter will be open in several years and the staff is volunteering their time to keep the shelter open that day.
