Metro post offices extend weekend hours for holiday rush
Atlanta’s main post office, at 3900 Crown Road, is open 24 hours a day for anyone wishing to mail holiday packages as Christmas day gets closer.
Two other metro post offices will have extended hours Saturday and Sunday. The Pharr Road Postal Store at 575 Pharr Rd., Atlanta, and the Sandy Springs post office at 6094 Boylston Dr. will be open Saturday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 19 from noon to 6 p.m.
Customers are urged to mail as soon as possible and avoid the rush that happens at all post offices as Christmas Day draws near.
“Christmas is our busiest time of the year,” says Atlanta District Manager Andy Hodges. “We want to make it convenient as possible for our customers to mail their holiday gifts and greetings.”
