Fayette Middle School taps athletes of the week

Fayette Middle School will select athletes of the week to be recognized. Their first choices were Tessah Holt and Malcolm Reed.

Holt is in the eighth grade and is a member of the basketball team. She is averaging 25.5 points and 7.5 steals a game.

“Tessah is a team player always putting her teammates ahead of herself,” said Coach Heintz. “No one works harder to get better than she does.”

Reed is an eighth grader on the boys basketball team. He is averaging 10.5 points a game and 12 rebounds a game.

“Malcolm has the best work ethic on the team,” said Coach Barnes. “He is not afraid to get physical with players that are taller than he is. He has worked really hard to become the player he is for us.”
