Tigers go 4-3 over two daysThe Fayette County Wrestling team wrestled in the Walton Duals last Saturday and went 2-3 on the day, defeating Cass and Rockmart but losing to Collins Hill, Walton and East Coweta. Five starters for the Tigers were missing the meet for various reasons but Coach James Bailey credited Donte Douglas, Colin Evans and Drake McCoy for having good days at the meet. It was a tough day as a high percentage of the top 10 from AAAAA were there, said Bailey. On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted Henry County and Forest Park, winning both matches, 36-30 and 54-17 respectively. Henry County, the number two ranked team in AAAA, is coached by former McIntosh wrestling coach Marty Hutsell. Evans and McCoy won both matches on Tuesday, as did Michael Bowra, Ryan McNally and Eric Song. The Tigers wrestled in the South Metro Invitational at Union Grove High School this weekend and will wrestle in the Brookwood Invitational next weekend.
