Nursery owner dies

Andy Martin, owner of Andy’s Nursery and Landscaping for the past 32 years, died Dec. 8, 2004, after a long illness.

Martin established the nursery and landscaping business in 1972 and it now has four locations.

Andrew “Andy” Webster Martin was born Jan. 13, 1941 in Cumming, the son of P. W. and Elvie Martin. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Charles “Lil Kevin” Martin, brothers, Everett J. Martin and Ray Martin, and a sister Elizabeth Moore. Though he had a heart transplant in December, 1990, he enjoyed the past 14 years.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Berachah Bible Church, 310 Corinth Road. The Rev. Howard Dial will officiate. Interment will be Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.

Survivors include sons, Eddie and Ann B. Martin, Cumming, Tim and Kim Martin, Newnan, and Kevin Martin, Senoia; a daughter, Robbi Martin, Sharpsburg, former wife, Gay Kilgore Martin, Senoia; grandchildren, Alex, Jackson, Austen, Andie, Kevi, and Nickolas; brothers, Harold and Ruth Martin, and David and Louise Martin; and sisters, Marie Hendrix, and Catherine Mullinax.

Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, is in charge.
