Giving his annual State of the Company talk at Coldwell Banker Bullard Realtys annual Awards Breakfast, owner and president Steve Bullard termed 2003 a very exciting year for the company as we grew and excelled in many areas.
He reported that during 2003, the company set a new sales volume record at $396 million and with 2,306 closing transactions was 42nd nationally in terms of closed transactions among the 1,249 Coldwell Banker residential affiliates.
Another high point, he said, were the acquisitions at the end of 2003 and beginning of 2004 of Coldwell Banker Gerri Murphy Realty and American Land Mart, bringing in 50 additional sales associates, eight new employees and 300 to 400 transactions and 18 subdivisions represented for this year. This will also increase our agent base to 305 and our support staff of employees to 31, making us the largest company headquartered real estate firm from I-20 to Florida, he announced.
Other company highlights mentioned by Bullard at the gathering, held at Eagles Landing Country Club, included the following:
The company took a large step in the educational arena with the creation of a training director position.
A very successful third year was completed by the companys Marketing Department.
A bright future for the Relocation Department. Bullard said the departments fourth quarter results were excellent, and that the territory served by the department grew with the addition of Rockdale and Newton counties, which added to the Cendant Mobility area.
The REO (Real Estate Owned) Department had a significant increase in listings and closings in 2003 and also showed an increase in average sales price. They are presently working with 25 foreclosure companies and a team of 30 of our agents, and 2004 is off to an excellent start as they have more than doubled their sales compared to the same period last year.
Bullard Property Management had another highly successful year and continued to bring in more homeowners association clients.
The Cendant Mortgage now has financial service representatives in Coldwell Banker Bullard offices in Clayton, Henry and Fayette Counties. Bullard said that Cendant Mortgages Johnny Dykes, who has his office in the Henry County location, was the No. 1 FSR in the 14-state region and was No. 5 nationally, while the Cendant Mortgage team from the three Bullard offices completed a loan volume in excess of $57 million in 2003.
Coldwell Banker Bullard continued to win prestigious awards from Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, including the Chairmans Circle Award for the sixth consecutive year and being named No. 1 company in Georgia in closed commission income for the fifth straight year.
Future goals listed by Bullard included a full complete updating of the company Web site, continued monitoring and improvements to the Bullard Realty Magazine, and implementation of a contract writing program in the branch offices.
I would like to thank all of you for making the year 2003 an absolutely outstanding year, he told the large crowd of company managers, agents and employees attending the breakfast.
