Gary Alford and Bob Dixon are now among the elite group of custom home builders at Lake Windsong in Tyrone.
Dixon, a graduate of the University of Georgia, has been building homes on Atlanta's Southside for more than 30 years. Professional accolades include Builder of the Year for both the Midwest Georgia Homebuilders Association and the city of Peachtree City, and Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year.
Dixon and Alford have been business affiliates for more than 20 years and partners since 1995. Alford has worked in the building business his entire adult life. In 1996 he received the Environmental Award and was recognized as Builder of the Year by the Peachtree City Building Inspection Department. Alford also is the recipient of the Customer Service Award from the Bonded Builders Home Warranty Association for being claims free.
In 2002 Alford was honored by a group of homeowners at The Point on Lake Kedron in appreciation of the "integrity, competence and enthusiasm" with which he built their homes. Dixon and Alford maintain a list of persons for whom they have built homes so that prospective home buyers may contact their previous customers for reference.
