ObituariesMildred Hollis Hembree Mildred Hollis Hembree, 85, Fayetteville, died Nov. 28, 2004. She was born June 26, 1919 in Tift County. She was the eldest of 10 brothers and sisters, and was a retired Realtor. Services were at the Fayetteville Christian Church with interment at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include sons William David Cook, Fairburn, and Ernest Wade Lester, Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters. Frances Wood Camp Frances Wood Camp, 81, Brooks, formerly of Riverdale and Gay, died Nov. 29, 2004. She was born July 15, 1923 in Polk County, Ga. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charlie Johnson and the Rev. Steve Wood officiating. Interment was at the Crouch Cemetery, Gay, Ga. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Irving Camp, Brooks; children, Betty Ann and George Jones, Riverdale, Jackie and Royce Stowe and Dianna Ballard, all of Sharpsburg, and Ruth and Lee Nash, Gay; brother, Don Wood, Riverdale; a sister, Nell Alls, Riverdale; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Charles Daniel Sovern Charles Daniel Sovern, 54, Jonesboro, Fayette County, died Nov. 30, 2004. He was born Aug. 1, 1950 in Panama Canal. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel. Survivors include his wife, Dale Ferguson Sovern, Jonesboro; daughters, Rayna and Robert English, McDonough, Alison Sovern and Shawn Massingale, Jonesboro, and Megan Sovern, Chicago, Ill; a grandson, Ty English; and one sister. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Helen Sisson Helen Sisson 92, Newnan, formerly of Hapeville, died Dec. 1, 2004. She was born in 1912 in Fulton County, the daughter of William and Lula Mae Walker. She was married to Carlos Sisson for 24 years until his death in 1959. She was a lifetime member of Hapeville Presbyterian Church, where she served in many positions. The family lived at one time in Fayetteville and had many friends here. She spent most of her life in Hapeville, moving to Newnan in 1998 to be with her niece. Graveside services were at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, with the Rev. Fred Whitehurst officiating. Survivors include a sister, Florence Reichmann, Knoxville, Tenn. Jones Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. Margaret Ann Jones Margaret Ann Jones, 66, Fayetteville, died Dec. 1, 2004. She was born Dec. 10, 1937 in DeKalb County. Services were at Lisbon Baptist Church with interment at Jones Hill Family Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, Sam Jones, Fayetteville; a son, Jimmy and Kim Jones, Brooks; a daughter, Terri and Sam Yannessa, Newnan; grandchildren; Casey and lee Jones; a brother, Sam Brantley, Fayetteville; and a sister, Mary Farley, Dalton. Blanche Lamb Fields Blanche Lamb Fields, 91, Canton, died Dec. 1, 2004. She was born Dec. 27, 1912 in Fayette County, daughter of Marvin T. and Eula Lindler Lamb. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Ed Lynch officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Charles R. Lamb, Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Virginia Ballard, Inman, and Edna Brown, Decatur; grandchildren, Robin and Jose Santana, Canton, Lisa and Paul Bryan, Thomasville, and Becky Lamb, Canton; and great-grandchildren, Justen and Lauren Santana, Canton, Ryan Bo Walthall, Georgia Tech, and Lane Walthall, University of Georgia. She was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Fayette County, daughter of George and Alma McEachern English. She was a long-time member of College Park Second Baptist Church, where she taught Ladies Sunday School, and was active in the womens missionary groups. Recently, she was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. J. W. Wallis officiating. Interment was at New Hope Baptist Church cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Tommy and Dorothy Fields, Fayetteville; a daughter, Ruth Ann Shannon, Hampton, grandchildren, Lea Wainwright, Scott Fields, Jeff Shannon, and Chad Fields; four great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Shelby Ellington. Memorial donations may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201. Ruth Nancy Garren Ruth Nancy Garren, 75, Fayetteville, died Dec. 4, 2005. She was born March 19, 1929 in Henderson County, N. C. Services were at the Strong Tower Church of God, Jonesboro, with the Rev. Dan Atkinson officiating. Interment was at Southern Memorial Park, North Miami, Fla. Survivors include a son, Kenneth L. and Anna Garren, Cleveland, Tenn; a daughter, Linda and Mike Black, Fayetteville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Louise Katura, Miami, Fla. She was born Feb. 1, 1920 in Fayette County, daughter of George and Elizabeth Jones. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Kim Schmidt officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include children, Joyce and Raymond Conn, and Mike and Nancy Daniell, all of Fayetteville, and Lynn and Bill Abercrombie, Macon; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; and brothers, George White, James White and Samuel White, all of Fayetteville.
