Christ’s Church at Whitewater to host ‘Kids’ Christmas Adventure’

Christ’s Church at Whitewater is giving parents and kids in the local community a gift this holiday season. Children three years old through fifth grade are invited to “Kids’ Christmas Adventure” on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The event is designed for parents to have a “day out,” while their children enjoy a fun-filled atmosphere of games, stories, crafts, and activities as well as a live nativity and children’s musical.

The event will be staffed by experienced children’s workers from the church and preschool.

The church is hosting the event as a gift to the community as a way to “reach out and show God’s love,” according to Tina Parker, children’s minister.

All children participating in the Kids’ Christmas Adventure should arrive at the church by 9 a.m. The program concludes at 5 p.m., although a child may be picked up by a parent or guardian at any time during the day.

The event is free of charge. A lunch and a snack are included. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. To register, contact Tina Parker, children’s minister, or Chris Herget, outreach minister, at the church office, 770-461-1487.

The church is on Ga. Hwy. 85 S., approximately 4.5 miles south of the courthouse, across from Whitewater Middle School.
