Chiefs roll to second place

The three McIntosh Chiefs roller hockey teams competed in a Tournament of Roller Hockey Series, High School Division tournament in Snellville, coming away with two trophies.

The Chiefs’ AAAA team competed in the varsity division but did not advance to the finals. The AAA team also competed in the varsity division and finished in second place. The Chiefs A team played six games and garnered a second place finsih in the junior varsity division. Both the AAA and A teams brought home the Eagle trophies and each player received individual medal awards.

AAA player Patrick Schneider and A player Cody Wheeler were presented with the “Best Defensemen” plaques after their resepctive final games.

During first round play, “Player of the Game” awards were presented to Martin Poncelet and goalie Cameron Eckhardt on the AAA team and Asa Dean, Danny Keegan and goalie Andy Barger on the A team.

The Chiefs are now playing a regular season schedule in the Georgia Roller Hockey Association.
