McDonough Road Baptist announces holiday activities

McDonough Road Baptist Church will kick off its holiday schedule of activities with a Hanging of the Greens at the church Sunday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.

The sermon series for the month of December will feature stories behind some of the great Christmas Carols.

On Sunday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m., the church’s Celebration and Voices of Praise choirs will present “The Spirit of Christmas.” A youth Christmas party will follow in the fellowship hall.

The Kingdom Kids Choirs will present “Angel Alert” the following Sunday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m. Earlier in the day, the children of the church will have their Christmas parties.

“A Courtyard Christmas Celebration” with Dove and Grammy-winner Michael Passons will be enjoyed by the congregation Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and an evening of music, “Christmas at McDonough Road,” will be Sunday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m., featuring the handbell choir, instrumentalists and vocalists.

On Friday, Dec. 24, the church invites the community to its Candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.
