Holiday helpers get ready for Christmas

Recently a concerned group of citizens joined forces to fill a new need in Fayette County.

In years past DFCS has provide Christmas gifts and meals to needy families in Fayette County. This year DFCS is unable to coordinate the entire project, but will lend support.

Thus a groups of leaders from various ministries and organizations have come together to provide Christmas for families in need.

Volunteers represent many organizations, among them are Agape Faith Church, Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, DFCS, Fayette Samaritans, Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Association for Village Pride.

“Our citizens are so generous, we are confident that the Fayette community will rise to the occasion and make Christmas bright for countless families,” said Nikki Rach, Fayette County Holiday Helpers program director.

The group needs volunteers, financial assistance and holiday items. Donations are tax deductible.
