Local students to appear on TBSThere is exciting news at Hapeville Elementary School. Two of the students were chosen by Turner Broadcasting Company to appear on Great American Moments. The show highlights the lives of famous Americans who have made a difference in the lives of all Americans. In early October, TBS sent information to the school asking for audition tapes from six students. Students had to learn a 15 second script and deliver it dramatically on the audition tape. Of the six students who were submitted, two were chosen by TBS. They are Amy Dam and Patrick Harris. Amy Dam is a fourth grade student. She is also a regular anchor and technician on our local closed circuit news program WKID. She lives with her parents and sister in Hapeville. When she gets out of public school, she wants to study to be a pediatrician or a computer animator. She is a real Anime fan. Harris is active as a student assistant. His aspiration is to be a pediatrician too. He wants to keep the young healthy and safe. He also would like to play basketball. |
