Baseball great visits Newnan

Harmon Killebrew, a former Minnesota Twin and Hall of Famer, visited VistaCare in Newnan last week. Killebrew is the national spokesman for VistaCare Hospice, which has 51 locations in 14 states.

Killebrew suffered from a severe illness nearly 15 years ago and was able to get better with hospice care. He was introduced to VistaCare eight years ago and found it was a good fit.

VistaCare treats terminally ill people with dignity and respect, helping them prepare for death with the least amount of pain possible.

The Newnan location has 11 staff members and takes care of up to 200 citizens.
